Senior Research Associate (Arts for Health) (1562)

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to support the Director of Arts for Health in the first year of expansion of the Manchester Institute for Arts, Health & Social Change, (MIAHSC).

You will undertake research across Greater Manchester investigating the arts, health and social change landscape and exploring opportunities for development support the advancement and delivery of the World Healthcare Congress (2020).

You will collaborate in the development of evaluation methodologies and quality frameworks

and contribute to the devising and testing of a Continuing Professional Development training programme and Masters in Arts, Health & Social Change.

In collaboration with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority you will undertake research into Culture, Health & Wellbeing across Greater Manchester (GM) that will:

  • Set out the current landscape of culture, health and wellbeing practice across GM within the context of devolution, national and international practice and UK health sector innovation;
  • Identify where high quality existing and emerging practice exits in GM, providing illustration through short case studies;
  • Identify current funding models across GM;
  • Identify evaluation and research models currently being employed across GM;
  • Locate GM practice within a national and international context.
