About the role:
The Maintenance Assistant will provide a professional service supporting various soft facilities functions including: Undertaking the day to day basic caretaking inspections, basic maintenance and portering tasks within the Residential Halls.
The post holder will work flexibly as part of the Residential Team assisting and undertaking various accommodation and health and safety related inspections required within a Halls of Residence, in compliance with the UUK code, MMU procedures and practices and Health & Safety Regulations.
The post holder will help deliver a high quality customer focussed service.
About the candidate:
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Maintenance Assistant to work as part of the team delivering a customer focused maintenance service.
You will have a good operational knowledge of maintenance within Residential properties.
You will have a sound knowledge of relevant H&S activities associated with maintenance operations within Residential properties.
This role requires you to work on a rotating shift pattern as listed below:
Monday – Friday 08:00 – 15:30
Monday – Friday 09:00 – 16:30
Monday – Friday 10:30 – 18:00
There is also the requirement to work 1 or 2 Saturdays per month for which you will receive a day back in lieu.
This role attracts a Shift Allowance of £2,519.16
