Customer Support Advisor (4379)

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Customer Support Team at Manchester Met within the Business Improvement Team. The team support the Estates, Facilities and Capital Development (EFCD) Directorate with core services such as management of the University switchboard and maintenance help desk, Training and Compliance, Engagement and Quality, Contract Management and Project Support.   

The Customer Support Team deliver high quality, efficient and effective administration and support services to our various departments and stakeholders across EFCD.  They will also be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of service for all customers. 

 

About the role:

The Customer Support Advisor will join a team of Advisors who support the Customer Support Manager, dealing with operational support requests from internal stakeholders and customers across the organisation including external callers to the University switchboard. 

Teamwork is vital as the team have to provide cover for a number of services during core business hours, operating on a rota basis to ensure key business functions such as the University Switchboard and Estates and Facilities Helpdesk services are available throughout the day. The Customer Support Team are often the first contact with the organisation for customers and it is vital they are able to provide accurate and timely information, proactively seeking answers and sharing with colleagues to address hot topics.

In addition to dealing with direct customer enquiries, the Customer Support Advisors are responsible for managing a number of email inboxes ensuring queries are dealt with to meet service level agreements.

 

Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will have experience of providing high quality administration support in a  large organisation.

They will be able to demonstrate a wide range of skills and experience in a busy and demanding administration and support role, including managing demanding priorities and stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. They should be organised and be able to manage a substantial personal workload.
