The university Sport department is responsible for delivery of the non-academic sport and physical activity offer at Manchester Met. We currently engage over 6,500 students and over 1,500 staff a year.About the role:We are currently seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to work with us for to help raise the profile of MMU Sport amongst students, staff and the local community, with a particular focus promoting our sporting offer.
You will work closely with the Sport Marketing team and Platt Lane Sports Complex staff to create strategy, content, key messaging and developing engaging weekly content. As part of this, you will coordinate and commission new photography, video content and marketing materials as required.
This is an exciting opportunity for a budding marketing and communications professional to kick-start their career and gain valuable experience in the world of digital marketing and in the sport/fitness/HE sector.
About you:To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional organisational skills, able to manage a vastly varied workload and a range of stakeholders, both internal and external. You’ll be a great communicator, a team player and keen to learn new skills in this challenging but rewarding opportunity.
You will need to be proficient in social media use and have knowledge of using a range of channels to achieve a desired outcome and tangible results.
Candidates must have a knowledge and understanding of the Higher Education sector and previous work within the sector is desirable.
