GMH Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (5760)

Greater Manchester Higher is a collaborative network of local HE providers (including universities and FE colleges) delivering the Uni Connect Programme for the region. Funded by the Office for Students (OfS), it aims to increase the number of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds in higher education, by working with young people in targeted areas where HE participation is low.

Manchester Metropolitan University is the lead institution for the programme, however the central team works collaboratively across all partners. The role of the central team is to oversee the programme, ensure it is targeted and evaluated in line with the project plan, and demonstrate the impact it is having on targeted learners.

This role will support the evaluation of the programme and provide evidence of the impact of outreach interventions. Reporting to the Monitoring and Evaluating Manager they will analyse data and produce reports for partners to support the tracking and evaluation of interventions.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • skilled in analysing data
  • have experience in the use of Excel for manipulating data and producing reports.
  • have excellent communication and IT skills
  • be confident in liaising with colleagues at all levels.

They will also ideally be experienced in evaluating data to demonstrate impact.

This is a fixed term role, currently funded to 31 July 2023.

In recognition of staff contributions to the University's achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff.  This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly instalments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
