Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Clinical Biochemistry) (2666)

The Department of Life Sciences is one of the largest in the University attracting large numbers of students on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The Department resides within the Faculty of Science and Engineering and benefits from spacious, modern and well-equipped teaching and research facilities having benefitted from recent significant and on-going investment.  At undergraduate level, we offer degrees in Biomedical Science, Healthcare Science (Physiological Sciences), Human Physiology and Human Biosciences. There are taught Masters programmes in Biomedical Science, Clinical Sciences and Human Physiology. Our higher postgraduate healthcare provision for the NHS also includes a Doctorate in Clinical Sciences.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who can provide an excellent learning experience for our students and enhance our educational/research reputation. You will have an academic, research or clinical background, with expertise and experience in Biochemistry. You will have a first and higher degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or have appropriate professional experience and will be confident teaching Clinical Biochemistry at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. There is an expectation that the post-holder will undertake appropriate research or scholarly activity, with research aligning with the Centre for Bioscience.
