Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) is an innovative collaboration between Manchester Metropolitan University and The University of Manchester currently placed 5th in the world in the QS 2023 Architecture rankings. It is one of the largest Schools of Architecture in the country with over 150 experts and more than 1300 students from over 85 countries. MSA endeavours to be a contemporary School of Architecture in its truest and widest sense. We strive to be at the forefront of tackling contemporary societal issues such as diversity and equality, social justice, climate change, and the changing nature of the profession and practice. We are very proud of our roots in Manchester with its rich history of industry, revolution, innovation, change, and work ethic as captured by the famous Manchester bee. To further strengthen our teaching and research portfolio the MSA, is now looking for a new Professor of Architecture. The appointed candidate will bring significant experience in teaching design studio and have the ability to lead a new Atelier within the School, based on their research and/or pedagogic interests. They will be able to demonstrate personal excellence in teaching and learning, personal tutoring and student support, with sustained demonstrable impact of your teaching and learning excellence on student outcomes and/or, a strong record of personal research achievement in a relevant area, a proven record of success in securing competitive research funding.
