An opportunity has arisen for the appointment of an experienced academic to make a major contribution to academic leadership, teaching and research within our Business School as Director of MBA Programmes. Appointed at Professor or Reader level and located in the Department of People & Performance within the Faculty of Business and Law, the successful applicant will be expected to play a major role in providing academic leadership on the MBA, as well as develop our portfolio of MBA programmes as appropriate, contributing directly through their own teaching and research.
Manchester Metropolitan University Business School is triple accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS and offers a full range of programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience level, including the MBA and PhDs. The Business School's MBA programmes currently consist of both a full-time campus-based programme and a part-time Global Online programme, and plans are in place to extend the portfolio of MBA programmes in 2023. Oversight of the MBA programme portfolio and responsibility for its management lies with the Department of People & Performance which, together with the MBA, offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as well as making a major contribution to the Decent Work & Productivity Research Centre (https://www.mmu.ac.uk/decent-work-and-productivity/).

In recognition of staff contributions to the University's achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff. This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly installments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
