Senior Lecturer in Law for Accounting
The Faculty of Business and Law brings together MMU Business School and Manchester Law School in our award-winning building located in the centre of Manchester. We have supported industry and commerce in the city since 1889; today our mission is ‘transforming lives, businesses and communities’.
Accounting, Finance and Banking is a large department within the Faculty of Business and Law comprised of over 1,300 students and 40 academic staff. The department delivers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Professional programmes through campus-based, online, and blended modes of delivery.
We are seeking a Senior Lecturer in Law for Accounting to join our existing team of academic staff and to inform the development of our new programmes launching in 2020.
We are looking for an experienced legal background to contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional teaching within the Accounting, Finance and Banking department led by Dr Hannah Holmes.
You will work collaboratively with the academic teams across the department to support the successful achievement of Department and Faculty KPIs linked to education.
The successful candidate will have significant industry experience at a senior level and will be confident to work independently and within a team of academics to achieve shared objectives. The ideal candidate will be innovative and flexible in their approach to teaching ensuring an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate will use their industry experience to inform the curriculum being developed for our new programme launching in September 2020.
