Step Up to Social Work Tutor (4323)

Personal Tutor - Step Up to Social Work (SUSW)

The SUSW course starts in January 2022 and ends March 2023. Personal tutors are engaged by the HEI provider to support students based in Local Authorities within the SUSW regional partnerships. The personal tutor role involves supporting both the academic and practice development of the students by maintaining regular contact, completing individual and group tutorials, undertaking placement meetings and quality assuring portfolio documents.

 

In this role you are required to have:

  • A recognised Social Work Qualification and be registered with Social Work England
  • Demonstratable experience of supporting and assessing students undertaking practice learning and/or a recognised Practice Educator award for example Practice Educator professional standards 2 (PEPS 2)
  • Demonstratable experience of Social Work practice at experienced Social Worker level
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, including knowledge of theory and current practice
  • A commitment to adhering to the PEPS values and domains and Social Work England Professional standards
  • Be based in the North East or Yorkshire and Humberside Regions

This role is payed at £770 for January to August placements (based on 9 sessions) and £570 for September to March placements (based on 6 sessions).
