Manchester Metropolitan University is one of the UK's largest and most popular universities. The Department of Recruitment and Admissions at Manchester Metropolitan is responsible for recruiting and admitting new students to the University.

We are looking to appoint an Admissions Officer who will support Admissions Managers in the effective development and implementation of admissions protocols and procedures.

The Admissions Officer will manage a team of admissions staff, with responsibility for a defined area of the Admissions service, operating within our centralised admissions department. The post holder will be expected to monitor and drive both team and individual performance in support of the University's targets and objectives, contributing to a culture of customer service excellence.

The Admissions Officer will operate within recruitment and admissions policy and strategy frameworks, supporting and providing guidance to Faculty and Professional Services colleagues, prospective students and external partners. The role includes responsibility for ensuring admissions decisions and processes are compliant with UKVI and government, professional or statutory body regulations.

It is envisaged that this position will hold responsibility for a postgraduate-taught admissions team in the first instance. The post holder will be asked to work flexibly across the wider team as required and the focus of the role may be subject to change in line with evolving service needs.

To apply, please submit your CV via our application portal, together with a covering letter of no more 1,000 words that explains how you meet the criteria outlined in the Person Specification.

For informal enquiries, please contact Jamie Turner (Admissions Manager) j.turner@mmu.ac.uk or Ashley Hall (Deputy Head of Admissions) a.hall@mmu.ac.uk
