Associate Business Development Manager (maternity cover) Grade 8.
We have an exciting opportunity to provide 12 months' maternity cover in Business Development in the Directorate of Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE).

The Business and Partnerships Development Team provide professional services to the University's RKE-active academics, and to external organisations in the private, public and third sectors. Our focus is on contract research, consultancy and other entrepreneurial activities that support the University's RKE Strategy.
We're looking for someone with experience of business development in a university context, ideally within a client-facing business engagement or support role. Your role will focus on:
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet service objectives and the required customer service standards. Training can be given for the use of the University's systems such as Worktribe and SharePoint. It is also desirable that you have an understanding of funding sources for innovation and enterprise such as Innovate UK.
You will report to the Senior Business Development Manager, and be part of a professional and friendly team that provides support to the University's broad range of disciplines and research specialisms. While the role will involve applying your business development knowhow across a variety of academic centres, there will be a focus on our Faculty of Science and Engineering.
The full-time, 12-month post will be available to start on 1st April 2022. We have hybrid working options in line with current University and Directorate practice.
