Job description

Digital Apprenticeships Programme Manager (4190)

Programme Manager (Digital Degree Apprenticeships)

Background to the role

Universities have a significant role to play in improving the life changes of young people and helping to deliver skills the country needs to prosper. For some, the traditional route of a three-year on-campus degree is not an avenue that is either available or suits their life.

At Manchester Metropolitan University we are extremely proud to be a sector leader in the provision of Degree Apprenticeships, not only as one of the first universities to offer this type of programme, but now with more than 2,500 apprentice starts and over 500 employer partners, including AstraZeneca, Barclays, IBM, BAE Systems, Lloyds Banking Group, Thales, Asda, and McDonald's.

We are proud to be rated an Ofsted Grade 1 ‘Outstanding' provider and voted the highest-rated university provider for degree apprenticeships in the UK for three years running (RateMyApprenticeship Awards 2019, 2020, 2021). In 2020 the overall NSS satisfaction score for apprentices was 93% across all programmes and 100% of employers surveyed said they would recommend Manchester Met degree apprenticeships to other employers.
