Position:                          Strategic Growth Project Lead (KTP Associate)

Based at:                        Shapemaster Global Ltd, Holmfirth

Salary:                             £32K - £36k dependent on experience

The role:

An exciting opportunity has become available to work full time on a 2-year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) to develop and implement a novel, integrated management approach that will drive long-term and sustainable company growth in the healthy ageing sector. Employed and supported by a team of academic experts from the university, you will be based at Shapemaster Global’s premises in Holmfirth.

Qualifications we require:

You must have an MBA or equivalent business qualification, giving you the required underpinning in academic principles and understanding of the process of undertaking strategic, transformation change projects. Ideally you will also have a first degree in engineering or similar. You should have some industry experience, preferably in manufacturing or production.




  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Highly motivated with a desire to develop new knowledge.
  3. Strong time management skills and the ability to self-motivate.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills.
  5. Leadership qualities.
  6. As Shapemaster are an engineering business, an engineering qualification or experience is desirable. Though you will not be designing products, you will need to understand how the processes and outputs relate to each function of the business.



  • £2,000 per year to spend on personal training;
  • attendance at two managerial workshops with Ashorne Hill;
  • opportunity to register on a higher degree (at a reduced cost);
  • opportunity of a permanent position with the company; 70% of host companies make a permanent job offer to their Associate at the end of the project.
