The Department of Nursing is recruiting two WBL tutors, on a full-time basis for 2 years fixed term. You will be required to support work across our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to work with practice colleagues and support students in completing their practice placements towards qualification as a registered nurse.

The Department of Nursing offer a range of education programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. These include programmes leading to registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) in Adult Nursing and Mental health Nursing, and a suite of postgraduate/post-registration programmes in Nnursing and health related disciplines. Our research and knowledge exchange activities focus on healthcare practice, education and policy and underpins our departmental core values of evidence based practice.
WBL tutors are required to support and enhance the student experience on work-based placements, whilst actively participating in departmental activities. The post-holder will be required to build capacity and develop new and innovative placement opportunities for Nursing students. The post-holder will be required to work closely with t the academic and support teams, practitioners and other professionals across the wider health and social care sector.
You will demonstrate excellent oral and written competencies, interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in interdisciplinary teams. The post-holder should also have considerable knowledge and practice experience of working in Nursing. You should have a good first degree in a related subject (Nursing or Allied Health Professions) with relevant experience of supporting students in work-based learning. You must be a qualified and registered nurse on the NMC register or a HCPC registered Allied Health Professional.
2 years contract, 35 hours per week
