About the team

Our Careers & Employability Service is at the heart of helping students build bright futures. We connect talented students with organisations across Greater Manchester and beyond, creating opportunities that shape lives.

This is an exciting time to join a team that delivers flagship employer events, builds strategic partnerships and champions equality of opportunity for every student.

About the role

As Employer Opportunities Manager, you would lead our work with key employer partners and help expand the range of high-quality roles, experiences and insights available to our students.

You will:

  • Manage and grow employer relationships across sectors.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of our major on‑campus employer events.
  • Oversee our employer vacancy portal and CRM, ensuring smooth and professional engagement.
  • Support work to reduce differential graduate outcomes and improve access for underrepresented groups.
  • Provide leadership and direction for the Employer Partnerships Officer.

This full‑time role (35 hours per week) offers a mix of on‑campus and home working. At certain times of the year, we come together on campus to deliver major events and partnership activity.

About you

We're looking for someone who is energetic, people‑focused and ready to make an impact. You'll thrive in a relationship‑driven role and bring:

  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Experience working with employers or external partners.
  • Confidence managing events, projects and competing priorities.
  • Strong digital and written communication skills, including CRM and data use.
  • A commitment to inclusion, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Further information regarding the role and person specification can be found in the attached Job Description.

If you're excited by the idea of connecting students with opportunities and shaping employer engagement at Manchester Met, we'd love to hear from you.
