We are seeking an experienced and driven Residential Services Manager (Property) to join our Residential & Conference Services team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an operational leader with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, managing complex property operations, and developing high-performing teams within a dynamic student accommodation environment.

Reporting to the Head of Residential Services, you will play a key role in leading the University's residential property operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, compliant, customer-focused services while enhancing the student experience and supporting commercial growth opportunities.

About the Role:

As Residential Services Manager (Property), you will oversee the day-to-day management of University-owned residential properties, leading a multi-skilled operational team and driving service excellence across accommodation services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and developing operational teams to deliver outstanding customer service and operational performance.
• Managing property operations, contractor performance and service delivery standards across residential accommodation.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and the UUK Accommodation Code of Practice.
• Managing budgets, delivering value-for-money services and identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies.
• Supporting major projects, refurbishment programmes, residential conferences and commercial accommodation activities.
• Developing and implementing innovative processes and systems that enhance operational effectiveness and student satisfaction.
• Providing leadership during emergency situations and participating in the senior on-call rota.

You will have:

Essential Requirements

• Experience managing operational teams within a customer-focused environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop staff.
• Experience managing budgets and producing performance reports.
• In-depth knowledge of residential accommodation operations and associated health and safety requirements.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• A degree (or equivalent professional experience) demonstrating strong analytical, literacy and numeracy skills.
• The ability to lead change, improve processes and drive continuous improvement.

Desirable

• A recognised management qualification.
• Experience working within Higher Education or student accommodation.
