Manchester Metropolitan University is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Head of Estates Infrastructure and Engineering to join the Estates Team. Working closely with the Head of Estates Operations and Maintenance and reporting to the Assistant Director of Estates Management you will lead a team of dedicated multi-disciplinary engineers responsible for the service and operation of the Estates electrical, mechanical infrastructure and assets.
About the role:
As the Estates Head of Infrastructure and Engineering your primary objective will be to ensure that all estates owned assets and infrastructure are compliant to regulatory standards. You will do this by managing the procurement of specialist service contracts tailored to meet the needs of the University.
You will identify innovative opportunities and develop strategies to improve the estate operational efficiency whilst continuing to maintain the environment to the highest standards.
You will be embedded into all Capital project developments, providing expert knowledge and ensuring smooth transition upon handover to Estates teams.
About the candidate:
The Successful candidate will have:
- Experience in delivering complex service contracts.
- Strong background in engineering services.
- An in-depth background in engineering compliance.
- Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of Energy management.
- Understanding of the the vital role Estates play in ensuring business as usual for all facets of the University.
- Understanding of the role Estates play in Capital Project delivery with a proven track record of ensuring Estates needs are met.
- The ability to instil a culture of positivity, engagement, and collaboration and be a good team player
- Interpersonal skills to create positive networks with key stakeholders throughout the University.
- Experience in analysing, manipulating, and interpreting large data sets in order to create strategies that are evidence based.
