About the Team / Project
IT & Digital (ITD) plays a central role in delivering high‑quality, responsive, and secure services that support our staff and students. Our work directly shapes the learning and professional experience across the University. As part of the large IT Campus Support team, you will be working on-site, providing IT and AV support to the University.
About the Role
The postholder will be a senior member of the IT Campus Support team. Key responsibilities include day-to-day operational management of incidents/service requests, providing strong technical leadership to solve and diagnose IT problems, leading on projects that directly link to the university's academic strategy and driving continuous improvement.
About the Candidate
Key Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication, including documentation and presentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and meet deadlines.
- Customer focused mindset.
Essential Experience:
- Managing and using Microsoft Windows 11 (and newer) platform (specifically using SCCM)
- Providing 2nd line IT and AV support
- Delivered consistent high standard of customer service support in an IT environment
- Broad experience in enterprise IT systems.
- Supporting critical and complex business projects.
- Use of ITSM tools to support incident and service requests (e.g. FreshService)
Desirable Experience:
- Leading innovation and change.
- Experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policy
