Lecturer (Digital Business Transformation) (3849)

With over 1,700 students and 55 academic staff, Operations, Technology, Events and Hospitality Management is an ambitious, large, and diverse Department within the Faculty of Business and Law. The Department delivers a wide range of courses covering undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and commercial programmes, including sector-leading degree apprenticeships programme.

Our team of academics have an excellent track record in industry collaboration, professionalism, and innovative teaching and learning resulting in sector leading metrics. We are looking for an academic who will deliver high quality teaching and learning across a range of subjects for the degree/postgraduate programmes across the department, including BSc Business Technology and the Digital & Technology Solutions degree apprenticeship. 



This role is full time and on a fixed term basis (one year maternity cover), working a 37-hour week. Due to the nature of this role, we are unable to sponsor for a Visa. 

You will be able to teach and provide academic leadership on our programme and contribute to the ongoing development of this dynamic subject area on digital innovation.


You should have a good understanding of business technology, industry 4.0 and emerging technologies (e.g. an understanding of immersive tech, internet of things, robotics etc) as well as how these technology are harnessed by organisations to add value, and how technologies can be implemented to improve customer experiences, increase productivity and efficiency.


You should also have a good understanding of marketing and business theories (e.g. competitive forces, business models) with application to the adoption/implementation and use of technologies in organisations.
