The Department of Finance and Economics sits within the triple accredited (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) Business School in Manchester Metropolitan University. We are a large and ambitious department, with a core focus of delivering excellent education that supports our students into great graduate outcomes.
We deliver a diverse portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that blend work integrated learning with a research and practice informed syllabus. Currently, we are specifically seeking to recruit a Fixed Term Academic Tutor to support our Learning, Teaching and Assessment activity in the subject areas of Financial Reporting, Governance and Business Law. We welcome applications from candidates who have sustained experience of delivery and assessment in these subject areas, while also recognising that the breadth of our portfolio will provide opportunities to support additional areas.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Subject expertise in Business Law, Financial Reporting and Governance.
- Prior experience of teaching or training in these subject areas.
- A passion for innovative and interactive teaching focused on student success.
- An enthusiasm for working in large teams.
This position would be a 12 month fixed term contract with an emphasis on teaching and marking. The nature of this role allows the successful candidate to really immerse themselves in the department as a result of the volume of on-campus activity they will contribute too.
